Current research

I am currently PI of a horizon Europe-funded project (2023-2026) on Social Media Narratives: Addressing Extremism in Middle-Age. It addresses the pressing concern of conspiracy theories, misinformation, and extremism proliferating online, particularly targeting middle-aged individuals (45-65), who are both susceptible to extremist narratives and influential as decision-makers. In SMIDGE, I am also WP lead of a workpackage on extremism, conspiracy theories and misinformation on social media and the role of technologies on the spread of this content online. SMIDGE consists of 8 partner institutions in seven countries. Follow updates on smidgeproject dot eu
